Why brands produce in Istanbul

  1. Close to your customers

Istanbul is a short flight or a road journey from much of Europe and the Middle East, so samples, visits and repeat orders move faster than with distant suppliers.

  2. Room to start small

Test a capsule, learn what sells and reorder. Quantities are scoped around your styles, fabrics and colours rather than a fixed number.

  3. Development under one roof

Our model house and workshop work side by side, so pattern, fit and production decisions stay connected.

  4. One of the world's fabric hubs

Istanbul's fabric and trim market lets us review materials quickly and match them to your product and budget.

Trade and shipping

Türkiye and the EU share a customs union for industrial goods, including clothing. Goods in free circulation in Türkiye usually travel to EU countries with an A.TR movement certificate and without customs duty. Import VAT and local rules still apply.

General information, not customs advice. Confirm duties and documents with your customs broker before ordering.

Can you work with organic or recycled fabrics?

Yes. Tell us your requirements and we source matching fabrics from Istanbul fabric houses, with the documentation their suppliers provide.

Can we work in Dutch?

Yes. Write to us in Dutch and we reply in Dutch.

What changes when you move production to flame

Six places where clothing production usually goes wrong, and how we run each one.

The usual way

  1. Your contactFive suppliers, five excuses, and you stuck in the middle.
  2. FitYou find the fit problem after 500 pieces are sewn.
  3. QuantityA minimum you cannot afford, set before anyone reads your brief.
  4. SamplesOne sample. Take it or leave it.
  5. During production“Where is my order?” Third time this week.
  6. LanguageYour tech pack, lost in translation.

  1. Your contactOne team answers for everything, from sketch to carton.

Design, pattern, sampling, sewing and shipping stay with the same people, so nothing gets lost between handovers.

  2. FitWe find it on the dress form, before a metre is cut.

Every pattern is tried on a form in our pattern room and corrected before cutting starts.

  3. QuantityOne piece or a full container. We quote your number.

Small batches and made to order run through the same lines and the same checks as bulk.

  4. SamplesWe revise until you would put your name on it.

Fit, fabric and finish are adjusted with you, round after round, until the sample is right.

  5. During productionYou know before you ask. A delay, you hear from us first.

Stage updates and photos from the floor reach you as the work moves.

  6. LanguageYour project runs in your language, brief to invoice.

Briefs, comments and documents are handled in your language, from first message to final invoice.
